Terms & Conditions

By using SEAD Events Africa, you agree to the following:

1. Account Management & Security

  • Account Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
  • User Conduct: You agree not to use SEAD Events for any illegal activities, including the creation of fraudulent events or the distribution of spam.
  • Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate our community guidelines, engage in suspicious activity, or breach these terms.

2. Event Content & Ownership

  • Content Rights: You retain ownership of the content you upload (images, descriptions, etc.), but you grant SEAD the right to host and display that content to facilitate your event.
  • Data Privacy at Check-in: Data captured during the live check-in process (e.g., timestamps of arrival) is handled according to our Privacy Policy and is made available to the Organizer for post-event reporting.
  • Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate our community guidelines, engage in suspicious activity, or breach these terms.

3. Ticketing & Financials

  • Payments & Fees: If you sell tickets, SEAD Events may charge a service fee per transaction. All fees are clearly outlined during the event setup process.
  • Ticket Refunds SEAD Events provides the platform for ticket sales, but refund policies are determined by the individual Event Organizer. Attendees should contact organizers directly for refund requests.
  • Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate our community guidelines, engage in suspicious activity, or breach these terms.

4. Guest Accreditation & QR Technology

  • Accreditation Accuracy: Organizers are responsible for ensuring that guest names and contact details uploaded for accreditation are accurate. SEAD Events is not liable for entry denials resulting from incorrect data provided by the organizer.
  • QR Code Usage: Each QR code generated by SEAD Events is unique and intended for single-use access unless otherwise specified by the event type. Unauthorized duplication or sharing of QR codes by guests is strictly prohibited.
  • Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate our community guidelines, engage in suspicious activity, or breach these terms.

5. On-Site Operations & Access Control

  • Check-in Device & Connectivity: While SEAD Events provides the check-in software, the Organizer is responsible for providing the hardware (smartphones/tablets) and a stable internet connection at the venue to ensure real-time synchronization of guest arrivals.
  • Access Control Power: SEAD Events provides the technology for validation, but the final decision to admit or deny entry to any individual remains the sole responsibility of the Event Organizer or their security team.
